What are the Costs?

What are the Costs?

Being in the performing arts program means more than just paying a class registration fee.

In this section we'll cover what some of the 'other' costs you may incur.

Here is a quick list of the basic costs related to participating in the various performing arts programs

All Programs

  • Annual Family Participation Fee - each family that participates in any of our performing arts programs pays ONE fee PER FAMILY for the year. This covers certain annual fees related to our program. This is the same fee no matter how many children from the family participate or how many groups they participate in.

Band

  • Instrument & Supplies - we have worked out special package deals through local music stores so that you get a GOOD instrument at a very good rate, they also provide supplies at good rates (and can delivery directly to our band rehearsals if desired). Also, repair of instruments if any damage occurs) [The actual costs for this vary from instrument to instrument. Contact us for more details.]
  • Band Registration Fee - this is a per-student/per-year fee for each group that they participate in. These fees vary from one group to the other but generally run between $600-800/year/student/program. [Not all of our performing groups have this fee.]
  • Band  Music Fee - this is a fee that is charged each participant at the start of the semester (presently part of the Registration Fee). At the end of the semester, if all music is returned in proper order and condition, the Music Fee is refunded.
  • Uniform - all band members are expected to provide their own 'uniform'. This is generally just specific dress clothing that you purchase yourself. An example: For Concert Band the 'uniform' might be Dress White Shirt, Dress black pants or skirt, dress shoes (NOTE: This is NOT the specific uniform that will be used but an example) There are no specific 'brands' or styles (although some of our more select groups may have specific items that need to be purchased).
  • Private Lessons - This is NOT required but is strongly encouraged. We will have a list of available/recommended instructors that you can consider; however, you can use any instructor you would like. Lessons can run anywhere from $20-$50/week and happen weekly, bi-weekly or at other schedules.

Choir

  • Choir Registration Fee - this is a per-student/per-year fee for each group that they participate in. These fees vary from one group to the other but generally run between $600-800/year/student/program. [Not all of our performing groups have this fee.]
  • Choir Music Fee - this is a fee that is charged each participant at the start of the semester (presently part of the Registration Fee). At the end of the semester, if all music is returned in proper order and condition, the Music Fee is refunded.
  • Uniform - all choir members are expected to provide their own 'uniform'. This is generally just specific dress clothing that you purchase yourself. An example: For Man Choir the 'uniform' might be Dress Black Shirt, Dress black pants, dress shoes, a red bow tie. (NOTE: This is NOT the specific uniform that will be used but an example) In this case the Bow Tie might be ones that we purcahse in bulk and then choir members must purchase from us (so they all match). Otherwise, there are no specific 'brands' or styles (although some of our more select groups may have specific items that need to be purchased).
